Paying your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ - the options

Pay by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the simplest and most convenient way to pay ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ. 

You can choose to pay in either 10 or 12 monthly payments, and you can choose your preferred payment date (either the 1st, 7th, 15th or 25th of the calendar month).

You won’t miss a payment, and you’re protected under the terms of the .

To set up a Direct Debit, you’ll need your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ account number (which you can find on your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill) as well as your bank account number and sort code.

Pay online

To pay your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ online you will need your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ account number (which you can find on your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill).

Whilst you don’t need to register for an account to pay your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ online, if you register, your Credit or Debit card details can be saved to make your next payment quicker and easier. You will also be able to view account balances as well as your payment history.

Registering for an account is easy and takes just a few minutes. You will need an email address and your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill. As you go through the registration process, take care to enter your details exactly as they appear on your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill. You can use the registration process to let us know if you would like to switch to paperless billing.

At the end of the registration process, we will send you an email to activate your account. Click on the link in the email to ensure your registration is complete.

Pay by phone

You can pay your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ by phone using our 24-hour payment line 01234 718061. 

You will need your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ account number (which you can find on your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill), and your debit or credit card.

Pay by online banking

You can pay your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ by standing order, which can be set up by your bank or by using online banking.

Please allow at least five working days for the payment to reach your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ account.

You will also need your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ account number to hand - you can find this on your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill.

Pay at the Post Office or a Payzone outlet

You can pay by cash or debit card at a Post Office or Payzone outlet. 

Remember to take your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ bill with you every time you pay so that the bar code can be scanned.

Difficulty paying your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ?

If you are having any difficulty paying your ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ, you should contact the Council straight away to discuss your payment options. 

If payment is not received by the due date we may need to take action and you may lose the right to pay by instalments or incur costly legal fees and fines. Please call Customer Services on 01234 718097.
